Anybody know of any remarkable trees around here? I noticed they are only 2 from Wise. They are a few from Lee and Washington.

got a question... ive only seen one of these trees in my life, and its next to my grandma's house, ever since i was little i have always called it a bean tree...but it has bean like pods hanging down from it, really the only way i can explain it..anyone else know what tree this is?

Locust trees also have the legume pods and are all over the state . I also have a large ornimental Mimosa tree that has pods ad the usually hang til December after I've quit mowing then drop .

Catawba trees produce a caterpillar that is killer bait for fishing. They grown near the railroads tracks behind the old hardees in Norton. You will notice they have leaves that have been eaten. You can shake the tree and they will fall.
